Trees and Other Entanglements
Sunday, October 25 |  2 PM

Join us at the Historic Fischer Theatre on October 25th for a special screening of Trees and Other Entanglements, sponsored by Community Roots.

Directed by Peabody and Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Irene Taylor, Trees and Other Entanglements is a lyrical exploration of the deep and often surprising connections between people and trees. Through artful imagery, photography, animation, and a collection of deeply human stories, the film explores nature, mortality, memory, and our relationship with the world around us.

The documentary introduces viewers to individuals whose lives are uniquely intertwined with trees—from an American bonsai master and a photographer capturing rare trees around the world to a dedicated tree planter and others whose personal histories reveal connections to forests, family, loss, and renewal. Together, their stories form a thoughtful meditation on the ways the natural world connects us to one another.

Doors open at 1pm, movie starts at 2pm.
