Think You Have What It Takes to Own the Fischer Stage?
The Historic Fischer Theatre and Spotlight Performing Arts are teaming up for a Lip Sync Contest, and we’re looking for individuals, duos, and groups ready to put on a show, all while raising money for two local arts organizations!
No singing ability required. Pick your song, plan your performance, grab your costume, perfect your choreography, and get ready to take the historic Fischer Theatre stage.
Right now, we’re gauging community interest before announcing the official event date. If you think you or your crew would participate, we want to hear from you!
How It Works
Every contestant will receive their own online giving link to share with friends, family, coworkers, customers, and supporters. Participants commit to reaching the following minimum fundraising goals:
Individual — $125
Duo — $250
Group — $500
These are fundraising goals, not entry fees. You’ll have time leading up to the event to rally your people and reach your goal through your individual giving link.
All proceeds from the event will be split equally between the Historic Fischer Theatre and Spotlight Performing Arts, supporting arts programming and opportunities in our community.
Two Ways to Win!
Judges' Choice Champion: A panel of judges will select a winner based on performance, creativity, costumes, choreography, stage presence, and overall entertainment value.
People's Choice Champion: The audience gets a say, too! Supporters will have the opportunity to help determine who takes home the People's Choice title.
Both champions will receive a cash prize!
Who Can Participate?
Pretty much anyone willing to have fun! Businesses. Nonprofits. Teachers. First responders. Healthcare workers. Community organizations. Dance groups. Coworkers. Families. Friend groups. Local personalities. Or just that one person who has been waiting their entire life to perform Man! I Feel Like a Woman! on the Fischer stage.
You don't need professional performance experience. Enthusiasm counts for a lot.
Costumes? Yes. Choreography? Absolutely. Props? Bring them on. Backup dancers? We support this decision. Taking this way too seriously for absolutely no reason? Highly encouraged.
