On April 3rd, David Clark captivated an audience of over 50 in the theater with his singing, guitar playing and storytelling. With his unique mix of Americana, Uncle Remus and God, he held the audience spellbound for over an hour and a half. Standing center stage with only his guitar and his voice, David brought to life times gone by, places not seen, and feelings of joy and sadness.
David had stayed in Danville all of that week and commented on how friendly and open the town had been to him. He'd been on the road since March 8, and we were his 'halfway point' in the Shaking Hands tour. He was thankful to spend some time in a place that so warmly welcomed and accepted him, and looks forward to returning.
Those of us in attendance that night look forward to his return as well.
